General Meeting for this Saturday, May 22, 2010

Konnichiwa, Minna-san. This is Seishi here with some long-absent updates. Life had been very busy for me including work as well as being involved with planning for the booth the org is going to have for the CCC event this May 29th.

Anyway, I am here to announce a general meeting of available members this Saturday, May 22. Agenda will be appointment of new officers as well as discussion of possible activities for the organization. Please confirm either through YM, here or in Istorya.net for your attendance. Unfortunately, I have recently lost my cellular phone so none of you can contact me through that venue. Please pass along the message to the necessary parties.

Venue for our meeting will be at Ayala Terraces. Assembly time will be 2-3 pm, outside Seattle's Best where the CIO-AMAGE first had a meeting last year.

CCC Summer Event Booth

Mysterious_hand, coordinate with your committee members and update us regularly on the movement of the plans.


P-chan's Sushi Cooking Event/Gem's Fine Dining Event

Suggestions have been made to make these two events separate which is quite possible considering we'll be putting in money for the events. It has been agreed, however, that one or perhaps two of these events would be the culminating event for Gem's Nihonggo lessons. Concerns have not been addressed, however, including the venue of P-chan's cooking event and who would teach the attendees how to do sushi cooking.

CIO-AMAGE Summer Nihongo Lessons Program

Learn the Japanese language the fun way this summer.

Cebu Integrated Organization of Anime, Manga, and Game Enthusiasts
(CIO-AMAGE) Nihongo Lessons is now open and accepting registrations
for the Nihongo lessons the Summer 2010.

Open to all Nihongo Enthusiasts and Anime Fans who wants to learn Basic Japanese.

Lessons:

o Common Greetings and Expressions

o Conversational Japanese

o Japanese Writing

o Basic Kanji

o Bits of Japanese Culture

Period of study: April 13 - May 13 (20 hours / 10 sessions)

Venue: 19th floor meeting room, Club Ultima Tower,

Fuente Osmeña, Cebu City

(at the back of Crown Regency Hotel,

beside Metrobank Jones Branch, near to Robinsons Place Cebu)

Schedules:

Tues&Thurs - 3:00-5:00pm

(Alternative schedule; takes affect when in need for additional slots) TTH - 1:00-3:00PM

Accommodation: Each schedule is good for 10 slots only. First come, first serve basis.

o University of San Carlos Graduate
o Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 3 Passer
o Association of Nihongo Teachers - Visayas Member
o Trained under a professional Japanese teacher


CLASSES STARTS ON APRIL 13, 2010.

Registration Fee: P850 (inclusive of study notes and materials used in the lessons)

6) Deadline for registrations on April 9, 2010.

March 6 Meeting and New Members

To anyone who can be free, I'm calling a meeting for this Saturday. Agenda will be:

* Summer activities specifically Nihonggo lessons and P-chan's Japanese Fine Dining/Cooking activity.
* Proposed trip to Bouncing Ball, an animation company based in Cebu Business Park.
* CCC event.
* One more very important matter that I will not disclose online.

So who can come, confirm here please. The last meeting was cancelled because so few confirmed that they will be attending. We need people to confirm either thru here, SMS or YM so the same misinterpretation will not happen again.

This time we shall meet at Ayala Terraces, outside Seattle's Best. Actual place to meet and talk will be decided on the day itself. Meeting time will be 3-4 pm.

CIO-AMAGE Christmas Party 2009

Hello, everyone. It's the time of year once again where we gather for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas is just a few days away, and so is our organization's Christmas party. Our first ever Christmas party will be held on December 23, 2009 lunch time at Family Park, Talamban, Cebu City.

Some of the members have volunteered to bring food for the party, and if anyone wants to do so, that would be appreciated. If you can't, that's no problem. You can still come to the party. We also have funds earned from the Otaku Fest booth we maintained, so we all can have an unforgettable first Christmas party for CIO-AMAGE.

To those that want to join, drop me an offline message on or before December 21 by:

There will also be an exchanging gift portion during the party. Participation is not compulsory of course. Please indicate in your message if you want to join the exchanging gift portion, because I need to make a list so that I can prepare the numbers for the gifts. We will mark each gift with a number and each participant will get a number from the box to determine which gift he receives. I would need to know how many will participate so I can make the exact number of rolled paper for that.

The gift does not have to be expensive. It's the thought that counts.

Cosplaying is also welcome during the party.
