First Lesson at Room 1905, Club Ultima
The Nihongo lesson last Saturday was a great success. It was really fun especially that almost everybody was there, and surprisingly 13 and Seishi were both there present as well. The venue at Club Ultima Tower, was just fine and enough to accommodate everyone that the officers approved it to be the final fixed venue for the succeeding lessons.
So far we already covered up three chapters. Lessons on the “S wa O desu” pattern, adjectives and its conjugations, kore/sore/are. There won’t be any meeting on June 20, 2009 so we could participate in the coming Hobcon event at Parkmall. Classes will resume on June 27, 2009.

CIO-AMAGE Official Statement
It has also come to light that I think several people are confused about what the organization is all about, hence I have thought of finally releasing an official statement to clear out the cobwebs for all members.
First of all, CIO-AMAGE is at its core an network of organizations. Ren13 envisioned a unified community of Otakus (anime lovers) as well as gamers since Otakuism and gaming come close hand in hand in most cases. Since it is a network, CIO-AMAGE aims to bring together all existing organizations in Cebu that are related to the Japanese culture in general.
One unique feature of this organization is that all affiliate organizations retain their autonomy. Assimilation is not a goal for CIO-AMAGE. The Cebu Cosplayers Club, for example, will still be known as CCC and considered as an affiliate organization supporting the CIO-AMAGE network. It is independent and autonomous to organize its own events, but this time with the support of CIO-AMAGE.
As a network of organizations, we automatically consider the members of any affiliate club as part of CIO-AMAGE. That's the reason why CIO-AMAGE had been chosen by those that voted and were considered by the 3 founders for votation: its name clearly encompasses the vision that Ren13 had originally for the group.
The real goal for CIO-AMAGE is the integration of all anime and Japanese related groups into an organized network that provides support to each other during activities and events. That way, we can present a united front for otakus. One vision of CIO-AMAGE is to allow the anime community in Cebu to present itself to society and not remain an underground presence. It can be hard, but things are looking up at this point. All we really need is your participation and cooperation.
The rules for CIO-AMAGE are simple. First, there should be mutual respect for the privacy and character of every member. Behavior such as stalking or unwarranted solicitation of personal information despite refusal of the other is considered an offense. Second, attempts to elicit conflict within the affiliate organizations is also a big no-no for CIO-AMAGE. The goal after all is integration; trying to split us up, of course, is a major offense.
Third, and last, if you have any suggestions for the organization, try to contact any of the 3 co-founders of CIO-AMAGE instead of blurting such suggestions out in conferences. This is to allow smooth facilitation of your suggestions and avoid arguments in which the merits of your proposal might get buried in the conversations.
Although we have no real punishments for these offenses (as of now), we expect everyone to adhere to these simple guidelines. Failure to do so repeatedly will result to being banned from updates and being unable to participate in any activity.
This statement has been issued on behalf of Ren13, whose original vision it was that resulted into this dream turning into a reality. Gambatte, minna-san! Adelante, CIO-AMAGE!

Latest Updates on the Nihonggo Lessons
Kombanwa Mina-san, this is Seishi here posting on behalf of Gem-sensei about our Nihonggo lessons. Last Saturday May 30, the lessons were canceled due to bad weather condition.
Main problem: We still don’t have a proper venue that’s why we were easily affected by the rain that led us to cancel the lessons. This led us (the officers) to meet last Saturday and discuss our options.
To address the problem, there have been several points:
* Jesse suggested that we have to have a fixed venue.
* Mikare suggested Club Ultima conference rooms for the venue. (PHP250 for the first hour and PHP140 for the succeeding hours)
* These will be discussed after the lessons this coming

There will be free 2-way transportation provided (Ayala to White Hills and White Hills to Ayala) courtesy by Mikare.
Assembly place: Outside Timezone and Chris sports, AYALA.

Mina-san, let’s do our best to make this successful. GANBATTE! (^___^)
As for those that are wondering about Ren13, she's currently in Manila at the moment tending to her grandmother. She might be in Cebu within this week though.
