Hello, minna-san. This is Seishi once again. 13 still has no Internet connection at her home, so no updates from her yet. Anyway, here I am with some more updates on the society.
Last Saturday, 13, X and I attended the 2nd 2009 cosmeet for the Cebu Cosplayers Club. It was held in Handuraw, in Gorordo, just a few steps ahead of Philhealth and Turtle's Nest. Personally, it was fun. 13 was not able to attend the entire event because of some obligations at school, so I stayed behind with X for the duration of the cosmeet.
I met Sasuke/Hidan, founder of the CCC, with who I am said to be a twin. Lol. I don't mind that, although we do have some minor resemblances. I also used the event as an opportunity to meet with potential band members for the Otaku gig we will be having in December. Of course, I recruited Sasuke as well, and I have a Gackt/Hyde duet in mind.
Alright, more updates. Mikare and Gem Shinosuke visited the event as well, wherein we talked about the plans for Japanese lessons. Right now, I think it's a "go" and all we need is the venue where the classes will be held. So, minnasan, I need your suggestions. Please PM me as soon as you can about your venue suggestions, since it will be you who'll be spending on expenses related to the venue. Lessons are free, but we have to pay for the reference materials and the venue.
Perhaps I'll hold a conference this Friday to address that.
Minnasan, we are requesting everybody to post their member profiles. We need you to send your name, the club in which you are affiliated with, your email address, and a small picture. This is a preparation for the election of officers. We need you to do this so that you can have ideas on who you will nominate and vote for as leaders of CIO-AMAGE. Take note, we founders are not supposed to hold any other position as officers, but we will of course oversee the management of the organization. Member profiles will be posted in our Multiply account. Please send them to cebu_animemanga_society@ymail.com and also CC me at mayapching@gmail.com.
I would like to remind everyone also of one crucial requirement in this organization: respect. Although we don't have any strict by-laws as of the moment, there is still a default rule in place. We will not tolerate any harassment or any other form of personal assault done by members towards both other members and non-members of CIO-AMAGE.

CIO-AMAGE Meet-and-Greet
Konnichiwa, minna-san! This is Seishi, speaking on behalf of 13 who is still unavailable due to absence of Internet connection at her place. Here are some updates for the Society.
Good news! The first CIO-AMAGE gathering was a success. More than 20 members showed up for the meet-and-greet in Ayala Center, Cebu City. Meeting place was varied, but since majority of the members who showed up (members of the Cosplay Arts forum) were gathered at Seattle's Best, I took the initiative to tell all other members to head there.
There were three different groups that showed up:
* CIO-AMAGE external members (those that do not belong to any other existing clubs)
* Cosplay Arts
* Cebu Cosplaying Club (four members)
Pictures are available at the Society's Multiply account. Link here.
What happened that day was: after 3 hours of waiting for 13, I decided to just push through with the introductions. The members were quite creative with that. It was as if I ony had to give them a prod and they went through with it. Congratulations, CIO-AMAGE members. We also shared YM ID's although I wasn't able to get them from Jackie who has them. Stupid of me.
When 13 did arrive, we introduced the club to the members who remained. Most of them had to leave because their parents had picked them, or they had a curfew, etc. We took some suggestions, and those are:
* Election of officers (to be held after the CCC cosmeet). Suggestions, everyone?
* Nihonggo Lessons. I'm currently negotiating with Mikare, who said his girlfriend Gem Shinosuke can teach us for free.
* Weekly meet so that everyone can know each other.
During the meeting, 13 and I agreed that we will attend the CCC's Cosmeet this Saturday as a show of support, and a chance to talk with Hidan of the CCC. As for myself, it's a good photo op for my Sony DSC-W120.
Well, that's about it. That's what happened at the first CIO-AMAGE gathering, and I'm optimistic that we can pull this through.
